Through a process of collecting found objects, assemblage, and painting, I explore objects reminiscent of my childhood. The compositions suggest loose narratives that transcend the simple items themselves. Dealing with concepts such as yearning, loss, solitude, and memory, I treat the objects as canvas, color, and texture. As an installation, the smaller parts exhibit strange connections in composition and movement. The paint is utilized more atmospherically as a way to portray the mood of the memories, whereas the objects serve as real-world visual references.
